Retro-commissioning (RCx) studies and energy audits help customers understand energy use and make improvements.

Optimize building systems

Retro-commissioning (RCx) studies and energy audits help customers understand energy use and make improvements.

An RCx study is a thorough checkup to ensure your systems run as intended. The study identifies areas of improvement and provides detailed energy-saving recommendations.

We’ll reimburse up to 100% of the study cost. The results could:

  • Improve equipment lifecycles.

  • Increase occupant comfort.

  • Optimize building process systems.

To get started, business and municipal customers submit a request form.

Free energy audits

Our free energy audits for large, midsize and small businesses and municipalities offer actionable recommendations to make your facilities more energy efficient. If a recommendation doesn’t qualify for an instant discount, we’ll work with you to develop a custom rebate so you save on the investment in upgrades – and save energy moving forward.

To begin, business and municipal customers complete the energy audit interest form.

Iowa League of Cities

More used vehicles for sale in our summer auction

Our summer auction is right around the corner. Used trucks, tractors, enclosed trailers, skid loaders and other construction equipment from our Alliant Energy fleet is often available for the public to purchase through auction.

We typically sell items as they retire from service to make way for new vehicles and equipment. There are no minimums or reserves at our public auctions. The selling price is determined solely by participating bidders.

JJ Kane will conduct the auction. Bidding opens July 3 and the auction is July 9 and 10. Here’s how to register in Iowa and Wisconsin.

EV charger

EV chargers make your town a driving destination

Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for public use can put your community on the map. EV drivers can charge their vehicles as they dine out, visit local shops and attractions, or just stop on their way through for a quick cup of coffee. Your community can provide a service that makes you stand out from the rest. Visit our website to learn about the different types of EV chargers, the benefits of electrifying your fleet of city vehicles and how you can hire a third party to run a charging network for you.
